The Lac Salin Spa & Mountain Resort in Livigno is a four-star superior hotel that has built its identity around the concept of authentic Alpine wellness, where nature, materials and the surrounding landscape come together in every space. Here, the spa is not simply a collection of wellness facilities, but a natural extension of the guest experience. For this reason, the recent project was not driven by the need for change, but by the desire to evolve over time, while preserving the design coherence established over the years. This approach perfectly reflects the philosophy behind Sanae Signature Spas: environments designed to grow alongside the hotel without losing their identity.

THE PROJECT

The collaboration between Sanae and Lac Salin began several years ago with the creation of the saltwater pool, designed to provide an experience of floating and deep relaxation thanks to its high salt concentration, blower massage, chromotherapy and technical solutions specifically developed to withstand the natural corrosiveness of saltwater.

The latest intervention represents the natural evolution of this project, expanding the wellness journey with a new Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, a Turkish bath, an ice waterfall and the new Water Ritual: a sensory experience that transforms contact with water into an immersive journey through water jets, misting and varying intensities.

The entire project was developed with the utmost respect for the hotel’s identity, prioritising natural materials, clean lines and continuity with the resort’s Alpine concept.

From an operational perspective, one of the most significant aspects was the construction planning. The work was scheduled between the two seasons, allowing the hotel to continue operating as usual while minimising the impact on its day-to-day activities.
